Straus Knitting Mills, Inc. specializes in manufacturing custom knit trim and fabric, all of which are made proudly in the U.S.A. Our onsite dyeing facility offers custom color matching to meet your specifications. We work with our customers to create unique and effective solutions to their fabric needs. We utilize natural and synthetic fibers such as nylon, polyester, wool, Nomex, Kevlar, Vectran, cotton, and acrylic.

We have manufactured billions of knit cuffs for disposable medical gowns, as well as lab coats and scrubs. We produce knit fabric for many medical products including protective coverings, braces, and bandages.
Straus knits a wide variety of products for the industrial and safety markets. Nomex, Vectran, Kevlar, and Fiberglass knits are used in applications such as protective gloves and fire retardant garments.

Working in tandem with industry leading racewear manufacturers, Straus has developed a complete line of SFI rated fire retardant fabrics. You will find our fabrics to be used extensively in driver suits, as well as gloves, boots, balaclavas, and underwear.
We offer custom dyeing to customer specification insuring quality and repeatability through the use of the latest technology and rigid standards. We maintain an extensive library of established colors, or you may submit lab dips for your approval.
